Privacy Policy
For the BuildList app — last updated October 21, 2026
The short version: BuildList collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Your projects and items live on your device, and the developer never receives them.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the BuildList iPhone app. It is provided by Steven Zilberberg, the individual developer of the app.
Information the app collects
None. BuildList does not collect, transmit or sell personal information. It has no user accounts, sends no analytics or crash reports, contains no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs, and makes no network requests of its own.
Information the app stores on your device
Everything you enter stays in the app’s private storage on your device:
- Projects — the name you give each project.
- Items — each item’s name, cost, quantity and status (Not Obtained, In Transit or Acquired), plus any description you add.
Project totals and progress are calculated on your device from this information. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Device backups
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, the app’s data is included in that backup, and is covered by Apple’s terms and privacy policy rather than this one.
Children
BuildList is safe for all ages, and because it collects no information at all, it collects none from children either.
Your rights and your data
Because nothing is ever sent to the developer, there is no account to close and no server-side copy to request or erase. You can delete an individual item or project inside the app, or remove everything by deleting the app from your device.
This website
If you use the support form on this website, the name, email address and message you enter are sent to the developer’s private issue tracker so your question can be answered. They are used only to reply to you and are not shared or used for marketing.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled — optional iCloud sync, for example — this page will be updated and the date at the top changed before that version ships.
Contact
Questions about this policy or about the app go through the support form — submit a ticket from the main page. That is the only channel, so nothing gets missed.
